- Russ and Mary Ann Miller, BLF US Representatives, wish to thank all who prayed for their trip in the mid-west.
They made many new contacts and spoke in two churches that were new to BLF. They're grateful for safety and good health too.
--They are planning another trip from October 6 - November 12. Please pray the Lord will open the doors He wants them to walk through.
--Millers are praising the Lord that, although 70 trees went down on the 10 acres they share with Russ' brother during the course of hurricane Irma, no damage was done to their
house at all, even by the tree that fell on their roof. A group from their church's youth group came and helped them load and deposit 10 trailer
loads of branches. PTL for this help!
--Please pray for Millers, that the Lord will provide the stamina and strength as well as safety needed, as they continue
working on the cleanup.
- September 30, 2017 is International Translation Day. We praise God for not only the translators but the entire editorial team and staff at BLF Éditions.
Their commitment to Christ and to excellence shines through the high quality books they have produced. May God continue to be glorified through their work. Pray
too for the
international gathering of Bible translators happening in Dallas, October 13-17
- Situated on the Northwest corner of Africa, this week our journey around the French-speaking world takes us to Morocco.
Mohammed VI has been King since 1999, and the newly elected (March 2017) Saad-Eddine El Othmani, Prime Minister lead this country where few have heard the
gospel and missionary work is forbidden. Before Islam came in the 7th century, the Berber peoples had a strong church. Today, Moroccan Christian leaders
estimate 2,000 believers meet in small house fellowships. Specific unreached peoples include Berbers, the nomadic desert tribes and rural Moroccan Arabs,
who are particularly isolated from the gospel. Pray for the Holy Spirit to open ears and hearts to the Good News of Jesus Christ. In 1975 Morocco invaded
Western Sahara and has occupied the territory ever since. Sovereignty is contested and the strong local movement (Polisario) continues to fight for
independence for the Saharawi people but the Western Sahara’s legal status remains unresolved. Please pray for more believers to serve among them.
