BLF Prayer & Praise - August 26^th, 2008

Dear Friends and Co-workers,

As you think of BLF this week, please pray and praise with us for these items of prayer. Your participation before His throne of grace in prayer is a source of great encouragement to us.

Continue to pray for follow up to Quebec Hope. There were at least 21 known decisions for Christ and countless others who heard the message, perhaps for the first time. Pray everyone involved in follow up will first get their own hearts are right with God before trying to counsel new believers. Pray for a powerful outpouring of God's Spirit in Quebec.

BLF Europe staff is back at work after their annual summer break of 3 weeks in August. Pray for a smooth re-entry into the work load. Pray for additional staff as they could use several more workers.

Philip's mom, Sophie, fell coming into the house couple of weeks ago and broke two ribs and her pelvis. She was in lots of pain, in spite of all the pain killers. Bill was in the Ukraine and we don't know how soon he'll be home.

Update 8/19/08: Sophie was hospitalized 8/18/08 because her blood thinner had done too good a job and she was bleeding internally. We had to take her to the emergency room last night. The doctors seem to have gotten everything under control. She needed a transfusion though.

8/25/08 update: Sophie is doing much better. The immediate health risks seem to be past. She should be able to go home Wednesday 8/27/08.

Bill arrived from the Ukraine last night 8/25/08, so she will have a good nurse, or at least a loving one!
