BLF Day of Prayer & Fasting - May 13th, 2008

Dear Friends and Co-workers,

As you think of BLF this week, please pray and praise with us for these items of prayer.
Your participation before His throne of grace in prayer is a source of great encouragement to us.

Please pray for the three people mentioned below as each is having major health concerns. Our God is the ultimate Healer, but He also knows His plans for each of them, and whether or not healing is in that plan...

Bill Kapitaniuk (Philip's dad) was admitted to the hospital for tests May 6th for what the doctor suspected was internal bleeding. He was release for the Mother’s Day weekend, but went back in Sunday night. He will have more tests, as the doctors continue looking for the cause of the bleeding. They are talking about surgery. Pray that they would be able to find the problem quickly. Pray especially for patience for Bill, as he is not one to lie down for any length of time!
Martine Stamp (wife of Alain, President of BLF Europe Board) has been experiencing serious abdominal pain which has been tentatively diagnosed as diverticulitis (with the possibility of it being complications from endometriosis which she’s had for 20 years). Martine is currently on medications, and is undergoing further testing. With surgery a very real possibility, they would appreciate prayer!
Dave Brown (US Board member and Pastor-at-Large) is facing two major system problems (medically). He writes: Friday I had a serious heart procedure that revealed the need for an internal pacemaker and defibrillator . However, because I also have a thyroid problem that still needs further testing, they were unable to implant the device. (You cannot have a number of tests nor radiation treatments with an implanted device.) So they gave me an external device I have to wear 24/7 and I cannot drive nor travel until the thyroid problem is dealt with and whatever treatment is required is completed. Now that may be relatively simple and short term, or it could be more complex. Please pray!

We praise & thank God for all the friends and supporters of BLF.
Without your continued prayer support for this ministry,
our efforts would be futile.

May God bless & encourage each of you.
