BLF Prayer & Praise

Dear Friends and Co-workers,
As you think of BLF this week, please pray and
praise with us for these items of prayer.
Your participation before His throne of grace in
prayer is a source of great
encouragement to us.
Thom & Sharon Schutt
request our prayers: On
May 1st we will be traveling to China with our
daughter and her family to meet 2-year old Addie
Jialin, the child they will be adopting. We will
spend two weeks in China, scheduled back on the 15th
of May. After sightseeing in Beijing, then a flight
to Addie's province where we will meet her and fill
out lots of paperwork. Then five days later we’ll
fly to Guangzhou to complete the process at the
American Embassy. We'd appreciate your prayers for
safe travel, that God would be preparing Addie's
heart to meet her new family and that she would
adjust well. She has some developmental delays and
we're trusting God for her total healing.

BLF Europe also requests our prayers about an
important issue they are currently dealing with... On Tuesday, April
22 we received a letter from a French lawyer informing BLF Europe that
they needed to show up for a first hearing in court on Thursday, April
24. The hearing was in connection with the sale of an apartment we sold
last year. We worked through an agency that took care of everything
(advertising, showing the house, legal paperwork,...). Being an old
building needing a lot of work, the agency sold it "as is". Although
Kevin Eggleston had developed a friendly relationship with the new
owners, we suddenly found ourselves being sued because of a reportedly
leaking roof, which they claim we hid from them.
Please pray in the days and weeks to come:
-
For wisdom as we try to deal with this
surprise (on top of our other responsibilities)
-
For LIGHT so the new owners recognize we did
not intentionally hide anything from them
-
For our future relationship with the new
owners
-
For our relationship with our lawyer - this
is a first in BLF Europe history!
