BLF USA, BLF Éditions and BLF Canada ...
|
|
This week in the United States, we celebrate a holiday called Thanksgiving -
a time when a group of settlers of this country came together to give thanks to God for His kindness and
provisions. Even in these difficult days, we too, have so much to be thankful for in His kindness to each
of us. In this week's BLF Prayer & Praise Update, we
give thanks and praise God for His abundant love
and generosities.

- From all of us at BLF: We are thankful for the privilege to reach out
with you, our BLF prayer and financial partners, to the Francophone world with the good news of
Jesus and His love and forgiveness.
- From one of our BLF USA staff people: I am thankful that I am free to share
God's Word with others and that my work impacts others for Christ in a positive way as God uses
it for His Glory.
- From one of our BLF USA field missionaries:
We are so thankful for how privileged, blessed and
supported we are through God's direction, health, protection,
and guidance. He is truly the One we
can always count on in every situation. His name
is so great and greatly to be praised.
- From one of our BLF USA board members: I’m thankful for the job of teaching
French for the last ten weeks. I’m thankful that my 12-year-old daughter came and sat up front
with me in church the other day and thanked me for being her mom and said she loved me. I am
thankful that my mom’s 80th birthday is next month and that she came over to my house last night
to play games.
- From our partners of BLF Éditions: We are thankful for your prayers for BLF
Éditions during this lockdown period in France. We praise God that despite financial challenges
we are still able to get books out across all of the French-speaking world. Last week, we were
able to get books send out to Africa. It is our prayer that we may continue to do this going
forward - if finances allow it.
- From our partners of BLF Canada: We are so grateful / thankful for 67 boxes
of Christian resource materials being shipped to a Haitian pastor's school's library - despite
COVID. We are thankful that BLF Éditions could partner with us for shipping more boxes of books
in that project. We are thankful that we are now able to provide Francophone audio sermons to
people we are working with in Haiti and Togo, Africa.
Things to pray about this week...
- For BLF Editions: Please continue to pray for the recruitment of our next
National Director. We have shortlisted a number of candidates and are going through initial
interviews. Please pray for wisdom for the board during this time.
- For BLF USA Missionary Nathan Phillips (and
family): Please pray for an upcoming doctor's
appointment to be able to breathe better. Please pray for the page layout and design of a new
Francophone book on "how to lead worship" which I am working on. Also, please pray for Annie and the boys
as we are "locked down" in France.
- For BLF partner to D.R. Congo - pastor Jonas, who,
with his wife, are preparing for their trip
to Congo, January through May:
- May God grant good health before and during their trip
- Safe travel internationally and locally village by village
- Protection of the Congolese team
- Provision of God for all mission needs
- Prepare hearts for salvation and healing
- Pray for all the training sessions with the BLF Sunday School Curriculum
Thank you for praying for the Francophone world to come to
know and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
