- A group of French-speaking Africans have been meeting at the Wheaton Bible Church
in West Chicago, IL at noon each Sunday since September 2018 under the leadership of Kaniki Muteba
from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Worship through song and prayer along with a sharing of an
exhortation on a biblical passage are the focus of the hour long service each week.
Please pray as the group meets for mutual encouragement and to hear God’s word. May
they feel welcomed, loved and valued as they integrate into a very different cultural experience.

- Just a little update as to how God is opening doors with French speaking people in Edmonton Alberta.
This weekend I am ministering in Edmonton in the context of Mission Fest. On Sunday I will be ministering at the New
Sweden Mission Church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta in presenting the work of the French ministry.
This past Thursday afternoon, I met for the first time with pasteur Noé Kayumba who is pastoring a congregation of some 300
French faithful people in Edmonton, Alberta. Pasteur Noé originally comes from Congo Africa and has ministered for
some years in a French church in Montreal and has left his Montreal church to come to Edmonton and plant a French
church in 2001. Now the church enjoys a congregation of some 300 people of whom 95% are French speaking mostly from
a variety of French African countries. In all, 9 different African countries are represented in his congregation.
I have also learned from pastor Noé that there are 6 French evangelical churches in Edmonton. Pastor Noé was very
excited about the evangelistic literature ministry available through our partner Every Home for Christ. His church
is in a French community of some 20,000 people and him and his church board have been wondering how they could reach
this French community for Christ.
Pastor Noé has a very good relationship with the other French evangelical churches in Edmonton and will organize a
meeting with them and I through Skype, so together we can consider to develop a practical strategy to reach the
French population in Edmonton. Also, over the years, pasteur Noé has remained connected to his Independent group
of churches in Quebec (some 40 churches) and will introduce me this group of churches in Quebec in the hope that
they will be interested to have evangelism campaigns in their respective community.
This is a very wide open door that only God could have opened. Linda and I are certainly coveting your prayers as
we seek to serve and assist these churches to reach their community for Christ with the help of our partners.
