For Wednesday, July 12

, 2017
Are you passionate about seeing others come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord?
Recently, a friend shared this truth...
- If you are involved in the community, but not committed to Christ,
you won't face opposition.
- If you are committed to Christ, but not involved in the community,
you won't face opposition.
- If you are committed to Christ, and are involved in the community,
you will face opposition.
Wherever you are, whoever you're working with, this principle exists.
At BLF, we are actively engaging people to reach the Francophone community for Jesus Christ. Around the Francophone world we see the opposition,
challenges and victories for Jesus Christ. As you partner with us in prayer this week, please pray for the "opposition," that God would tear down the walls of
opposition and open people's hearts to the great news who Jesus is, His love and His salvation.
May God richly bless you as you pray and praise!

For BLF
USA ...
- July 11 is World Population Day. Africa’s population
is growing rapidly.
By 2050, 40% of the world’s Christians are expected to live in Sub-Saharan Africa. An estimated 600 unreached people groups reside in areas where French is spoken as a first or second language. The French-speaking Church is poised
to play a vital role in the growth of the worldwide Church. Perspectives on the World Christian Movement is a vision course that both helps
ordinary believers connect their lives with God’s global purposes and supports the development of national mission movements.
BLF Éditions with BLF USA is currently doing the work of translating the Perspectives course materials into French.
Please continue to pray for everyone involved in
the translation of the Perspectives course into French.
- Please pray for Gabon and for President Ali Bongo Ondimba and Prime Minister Emmanuel Issoze-Ngondet.
Although Gabon is one of Africa’s wealthier countries, most do not benefit from the wealth. Spiritism – witchcraft, drugs, charms –
underpins traditional beliefs. Some government leaders and police participate in rituals involving witchcraft and black magic.
Christians are often refused academic and professional opportunities if they do not participate. Gabonese evangelicals have a vision
for their country to be 20% evangelical by 2025 and for every person in Gabon to hear the gospel. The Christian and Missionary Alliance
is hard at work in Gabon planting churches throughout the country even in the least-reached east where the Baka/Babinga people (often
called Pygmies) live. Please pray for the work of Christian and Missionary Alliance and others as they introduce the lost to the Savior.
