Prayer is like oxygen.
Without oxygen we tend to die.
For the believer whose life is characterized by a close walk with Christ, prayer is an integral part of every aspect of life.
The more distant one is from prayer defines the relationship we have with the God who sustains our existence. To suspend prayer
is to put aside the One who actively seeks to know us ever closer. To suspend prayer cuts off the hand of the One who provides a
believer's very life. Without the oxygen of all He is - is not all that different than to stop breathing
- we suffer the same results,
we lack the life only He provides.
When you raise up, during the day as you walk and work, as you retire at the end of each and every day, develop the closeness of breathing
and praying about everything. The compelling priority of prayer is a constant for everyone who walks with Jesus.

For BLF
USA ...
- We praise the Lord for protecting us during more than 3000 miles we traveled for BLF the past two weeks. We saw a number of accidents and
long traffic jams, but God was good to protect us. Also He got us in touch with some Swahili and French-speaking refugees in Indiana with
whom we hope to meet the next time we're in that area. We gave them a French New Testament and two copies of a book in Swahili that BLF
printed a number of years ago. --Russ and Mary Ann Miller, BLF USA Reps.
- Please pray for the Missio Nexus 2016 Missions Leader Conference that starts Wednesday of this week. Our own executive director,
Rory Clark, will be attending. Please pray for him to make meaningful connections that will allow us to more effectively serve the Lord for the
blessing of the Francophone world.
