Prayer Power Point Title Bar

Pray For His Protection ...

The church that is not jealously protected by mighty intercession and sacrificial labors will before long become the abode of every evil bird and the hiding place for unsuspected corruption. The creeping wilderness will soon take over that church that trusts in its own strength and forgets to watch and pray.

- A.W. Tozer

At BLF, as we minister, please pray for us, that His Word might go forth, on His wings of grace to His glory ... with His protection. Thank You!

For BLF Canada ...

- Pray for Quebec!

From Operation World’s website:
Quebec is a unique region that has experienced in one or two generations the secularization and modernization that took France centuries to accomplish.
Pray for:
a) Political currents that swirl around the issue of separation of Quebec from the rest of Canada.
b) The Catholic Church dominates Quebecois identity and culture (more than 80% self-identify as Catholic), but almost not attendance. Church and faith are highly personal and privatized.
c) Evangelicals in Quebec. Protestants are low in number and evangelical churches regarded as nearly cults. Pray for unity and fellowship.
d) Church planting needs to occur in much greater measure.
e) Ministry vision to Quebec and beyond. French-Canadian evangelicals usually feel more affinity with other Francophone evangelicals globally than with Anglophone Canadian evangelicals. Pray for unity and fellowship.

For BLF USA ...

Prayer Needed: The Islamic holy month of Ramadan is less than a month away (June 6 to July 5). This 30-day period the perfect time to intercede on behalf of Muslims everywhere, particularly in areas where French is an important language (especially Francophone Africa, France, Belgium). While not specifically focused on the French-speaking Muslim world, since 1993, millions of Christians have prayed during the Islamic month of fasting using a resource called 30 days of prayer for the Muslim world (http://pray30days.org). Does it actually make a difference? IMB researcher David Garrison’s study on Muslim movements to Christ suggests that it does:
"We are in the midst of the greatest turning of Muslims to Christ in 14 centuries of Muslim-Christian interaction. More than 80% of all the Muslim movements to Christ in history have occurred in the past two to three decades, a time period that coincides with the modern prayer movement for Muslims. At the heart of this modern prayer movement is ‘30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World.’ Come, join us, and be a part of shaping salvation history!" — David Garrison, author of A Wind in the House of Islam

- Please pray that an unprecedented number of Christians would pray for Muslims during Ramadan and that God would lead many to pray for French-speaking Muslims.
- Ask God for the development of a prayer guide focused on the French-speaking Muslim world (if such a guide exists, please let us know). Please pray for the hoped for French edition of Pray for the World (stay tuned for more).
- Please pray that even more people will read the French language edition of Miraculous Movements, published by BLF under the title Car Dieu a tant aimé les musulmans (For God so loved the Muslims).

From Russ and Mary Ann Miller,
BLF USA Reps:

We have now heard from the rest of our team and all have returned home safely from France and are getting rested up. We have many praises for answered prayer. The also Lord us gave safety during the many miles we traveled by road in Europe. One of our main goals for this short term outreach was to further complete various aspects of the BLF Editions new office construction projects that have ensued in recent trips. While these project have occurred over time, we almost finished all the work on the new offices. Basically, it is just the baseboards that still need to be done. (The big wall facing the warehouse part of the shop still needs to be painted, but we left that purposely for the team of 10-15 young people coming for a week in July from Lille. Ruben suggested we leave that for them to finish.) The old offices need to be refurbished, but that will be another project.

As part of our BLF partnership with France for Christ, at their headquarters in Drulingen, Alsace, we finish painting and refurbishing several small areas that had never been done since they took over that building 9 years ago. Electrical problems were found and fixed, other small jobs enabled the staff to do their work more easily and to encourage their hearts. While we were there, 8 congregations assembled together for worship on Sunday and the FPC leadership team had their regular meeting, so we were able to meet many FPC workers and hear their testimonies and prayer concerns.

Over all, the entire team had to privilege to rejoice greatly for all that was accomplished for God’s Glory!
