PRAYER JOURNAL CARDS:
A Prayer Journal? Important!
|
For me, it's been a difficult task to tame.
So I use Prayer Journal Cards.
I create 4 sections on a 5x8 card
but drawing a cross in the middle of the card. Then I label each section: O=Own prayers, L=Local and Friends, N=Nation, W=World.
I date it and add any other specific prayers on the card.
On the other side of the card, I might write notes, verses, answers ... and begin writing testimonies in anticipation of God's wondrous workings.
I believe this has greatly increased my prayer muscles and my recognition and remembers of God's love and faithfulness.

For BLF
Canada ...
- This past week, BLF Canada put 9 bins of materials in a cargo container bound for Haiti.
The shipment contained French Bibles, a few books and many binders full of course notes for a course
BLF Canada Director Toe-Blake Roy will be teaching when he is in Haiti this summer.
- Pray the shipment travels safely to Haiti, and that there are no delays in customs
- Pray for Toe-Blake Roy as he prepares to go to Haiti July 6-13th
- BLF Canada is working with several organizations, including Hope for Today,
Galcom International, Trans-World Radio and Reach Beyond, as well as multiple Evangelical churches
to establish 100 FM radio stations in Quebec to broadcast the gospel to the entire province.
-Pray for unity as the various groups work together to realize this grand project
-Pray for the Lord to raise up churches to sponsor radio stations

The doctor successfully removed the kidney stone from Rory’s dad (who went back to the ER last Tuesday after complaining of pain in his chest).
A later test revealed significant ulceration in his esophogas, stomach and duodenum, which they have started to treat.
Another silent prayer request for another one of the BLF family - please pray for health of a close relative of one of the BLF family.
While we are not at liberty to share at this time, please pray! Thank you!
Burkina Faso
Please pray for women and girls in Burkina Faso, where 76% have undergone female genital mutilation/cutting
(see
http://www.unicef.org/protection/files/00-FMGC_infographiclow-res.pdf). Child marriage, although illegal,
is common here--52% of girls marry before the age of 18. This World Vision story summarizes the drivers and consequences of child marriage:

in Francophone Africa: Niger (1), Central African Republic (2), Chad (3), Mali (5), Guinea (6) and Burkina Faso (8).
Despite Burkina Faso's many challenges, praise God for the tremendous church growth over the last 50 years. Since 1960 evangelicals alone
have grown from 10,000 to 1.44 million (Operation World).
BLF Éditions president Alain Stamp recently returned from Burkina Faso. Thanks to your generosity, Alain was able to distribute BLF literature
during a seminar on mentoring with participants from Burkina and Mali.
