Please Continue to pray for BLF US board

African missions outreach group. Pray
that Lynn and the group shows
them His love in such a way that
they are forever changed – all
to His glory. We'll keep
you posted as we hear progress!
Pray for our Director,
Toe-Blake Roy, who will be
departing for a western Canadian
tour on the 1st of February. He
will be representing BLF Canada
at
Mission Fest Manitoba from
the 3rd-5th
of February; pray that he will
make good connections while
there. Also, pray for safe
travelling for Toe-Blake and
pray for those that must fill
the void at home.
We really do need your
support in fervent prayer on
these issues. Please pray
with us and lift us up as we
persevere to reach the French
speaking world for Christ.

There are still some
open slots for

the Host & Hostess
positions for 2012.

A couple weeks ago we asked for prayer
for the Francophone countries of
the African Continent. Please
remember to lift
up Lynn Lockwood, BLF USA board
member and members of her church
with her from the
Mountain View
Presbyterian Church as they
go forth in
Senegal – a
Francophone country of Africa. Pray for
those that go and those they
encounter would be focused /
refocused on knowing, sharing
and glorifying God and His
purpose for their lives.
Here's the latest...
On Wednesday 1/25,
we arrived in Dakar
and headed straight
to Thies before
traffic could get
bad. Our hosts at
the John Huffman
Christian school
called the kitchen
lady in to prepare
breakfast just for
us.
We attended and
participating in a
conference in Thies
for three days,
hosted by the
Evangelical Baptist
Church of Thies.
They are involved in
planting churches in
seven villages
nearby. This
conference was an
opportunity to meet
with the American
church members who
partner in ministry
in these villages,
and people like us
who are
investigating such
partnership
possibilities.
We have learned a
lot about how God is
working in this part
of Senegal, in
villages of the
Serrer tribe. It's
been great to meet
30-40 new people
from Senegal and the
US, and to share
lessons learned and
dreams for the
future. We have
worshipped together
and prayed for each
other and the people
of Senegal.
Our team has also
visited the John
Huffman Christian
school, met with
Angeline, the child
sponsorship program
coordinator, and
with a couple who
run a boarding house
for children from
the villages who
come to the city of
Thies for school.
On Saturday 1/28 we
drove to Kaffrine to
began the next stage
of our adventure. In
Thies, most people
speak French and I
can communicate
freely. Life got
more challenging in
many ways as we went
to a smaller city
where Wolof is the
principal language
and we no longer
have three meals and
snacks prepared for
us every day. We
were glad to see our
missionary friends
in Kaffrine. On
Sunday 1/29 we went
with another
missionary couple,
the Garretts, to the
village where they
live for half of
each week. After
that we are focusing
on spending as many
days as possible in
Diagle.
Please pray for
safe, uneventful
travel and for
the air conditioner
in the van to work
well. Thank God that
our health is good
so far. Pray for
good communication
with our
translators, Sidi
and Charlotte, our
driver Babacar,
partner David, and
the missionaries in
Kaffrine.
Coordinating
schedules, housing
and transportation
can be a challenge.
Pray for God to
prepare our time in
the village of
Diagle!

From Zachariah
Kenney, Assistant to
the Director, and the
staff of BLF Canada...
Pray for the BLF board meeting
on the 11th of February, that
God will continue to give the
members, director and
missionaries wisdom as they seek
to glorify Him in their
decisions.

BLF US President,
Acting US Executive Director of BLF USA
