Please Pray for BLF USA this week....

Please continue to pray for a new West Coast representative to replace Walter & Nancy Zurfluh.

Please continue to pray for the Zurfluhs who recently retired due to ill health.

Please continue to pray that God would stir the heart of someone with leadership gifts that would consider the position of Executive Director for BLFUSA.

Pray continue to pray for a potential IT team for Canada this summer.

Pray for BLF US board member Lynn Lockwood and Mountain View Presbyterian African missions outreach group.

As we have shared, BLF US board member Lynn Lockwood and folks from her church are spearheading an outreach to the Wolof people of Senegal, West Africa

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 24th to spend a few times throughout the day to lift up Lynn and the Mountain View Presbyterian group as they go forth to Diagle in Senegal – a Francophone country.

I'm taking books to at least one Christian school and several Senegalese friends. Thanks for your prayers!
Pray for those that go and those they encounter would be focused / refocused on knowing, sharing and glorifying God and His purpose for their lives. Pray that Lynn and the group shows them His love in such a way that they are forever changed – all to His glory. We'll keep you posted as we hear progress!

From Zachariah Kenney, Assistant to the Director, and the staff of BLF Canada...

Pray for Director Toe-Blake Roy’s upcoming tour of Western Canada. He will be departing February 1st. Pray for the planning of this tour.

BLF Canada will be having a board meeting on February 11th. Pray for the preparation, and wisdom for the board members.

Praise the Lord! Last Friday, Toe-Blake Roy and Zachariah Kenney had a good meeting with a website developer (a Christian). The new website is now under construction, with a “delivery” date of June 2012.

Pray for BLF International. BLF International is the amalgamation or partnership of BLF USA, BLF Canada and BLF Europe - that agrees to work together with the common focus to provide Bibles and Literature in French - to reach the Francophone world for Jesus Christ.

Please pray as God leads us toward that purpose, the BLF family of all involved (which includes you who pray, support, participate) will be flexible, creative and innovative to accomplish that goal. We are excited to see how God will lead - please pray that all of us will be open to whatever He has prepared that He might be glorified this year of 2012....

This week, we would ask you, (you - personally, your Bible study, prayer group, small group, Bible fellowship, Sunday school / church group, etc.) - to focus in prayer on the following Francophone countries ...
- this time, the Western countries, islands, territories and ocean areas where French is predominate:

Canada
St Pierre et Miquelon Islands (France)
U.S. (Louisiana, NYC, Etc.) Caribbean and South America

Dominica (Dominique in French)
Guadeloupe (France)
Guiana (France, Guyane in French)
Haïti Martinique (France)
St. Lucia (Ste. Lucie In French)
St. Bartholémy

While Wikipedia is not always accurate, nevertheless, there are some interesting statistics regarding a "List of countries where French is an official language". As you look over the stats, please remember another important concept - for every 1 Christian book published in French, there are about 300 in English. God's Word in print - a powerful tool God uses to reach people for Jesus Christ.
