Dear Friends,
Thank you for joining BLF in our
weekly Prayer & Praise.
We appreciate your fellowship
and partnership in this ministry.
Please Pray for
BLF USA this week....
We
arrived safely last
night (Friday 1/13) in
Mahadaga. No
problems at the airport
security or customs. The
airline provided us with
a hotel room for the
long layover in
Casablanca so we
were able to nap and
arrive in Burkina well
rested. The terminal in
Ouagadougou has had
a complete makeover.
Wow! It looks new and
modern.
Please continue to pray for a safe journey,
and that the literature
they bring will be
useful to the work of
the Kingdom.
Please
continue to pray for Nancy.
She had a "rough" day or two
after part of the fluid was
drained from the pleura by her
right lung last Thursday. She is
feeling better now. On January
17 she is scheduled for her next
chemo appointment and on January
19 she will see her lung
specialist regarding the removal
of the remainder of the fluid.
Pray for minimal side effects
and that the cancer cells will
soon disappear. Thanks very much
for your faithful prayers. --Nancy and Walt Zurfluh
From Tom Rice,
BLF US President,
Acting US Executive Director and the staff of
BLF USA... Pray for BLF
International. BLF
International is the
amalgamation or partnership of
BLF USA, BLF Canada and BLF
Europe - that agrees to work
together with the common focus
to provide Bibles and Literature
in French - to reach the
Francophone world for Jesus
Christ. Please pray as God
leads us toward that
purpose, the BLF family of all
involved (which includes you
who pray, support, participate) will be
flexible,
creative and innovative to
accomplish that goal. We
are excited to see how God will
lead - please pray that all of
us will be open to whatever He
has prepared that He might be
glorified this year of 2012.... This week, we would ask
you, (you -
personally, your Bible study,
prayer group, small group, Bible
fellowship, Sunday school /
church group, etc.) -
to focus in prayer on the
following
Francophone countries
...

BLF Prayer &
Praise -
January 18th,
2012
Thank you for praying for these items of
interest and concern to BLF. Your prayer
is
important. May God richly bless you!

Pray for BLF US board
member Lynn Lockwood and Mountain View Presbyterian
African missions outreach group.
Last week we asked for prayer
for the Francophone countries of
the African Continent. Please
mark your calendars for Tuesday,
January 24th to spend a few
times throughout the day to lift
up Lynn and the
Mountain View
Presbyterian Church group as they go
forth to
Diagle in Senegal – a
Francophone country. Pray for
those that go and those they
encounter would be focused /
refocused on knowing, sharing
and glorifying God and His
purpose for their lives. Pray
that Lynn and the group shows
them His love in such a way that
they are forever changed – all
to His glory. We'll keep
you posted as we hear progress!

(We don't have a
lot of details on
that quite yet - but
Wow! That's
exciting!)

From Zachariah
Kenney, Assistant to
the Director, and the
staff of BLF Canada...
Praise the Lord:
BLF Canada has supplied
4200 mini-Bibles
to a couple named
Wayne and Edith Clark in
conjunction with the
Fellowship of Christian
Farmers in Canada. The
Clarks are on a
mission trip to
Berkina Faso, Africa
(where French is the
official language). They
are currently on-site
and need your prayer
that the distribution of
the Bibles their
outreach might go well
and glorify God. Here's
a few updates...
We spent Thursday night
at the SIM guesthouse in
Ouagadougou and left
early Friday morning for
the 8 hr drive to
Mahadaga. We had a
rented car shared with
two other short-termers.
We're being spoiled! We
have a 7 room house all
to ourselves - we are
staying at a
missionary's house who
are home on furlough. We
had a tour of the
grounds today and the
medical clinic. Tomorrow
(Sunday 1/15) we will go
to a French /
Gourma church
service.

provide a suitable replacement
for us as BLF West Coast

While Wikipedia is not
always accurate,
nevertheless, there are some
interesting statistics
regarding a "List of
countries where French is an
official language".
As you look over the stats,
please remember another
important concept - for
every 1 Christian book
published in French, there
are about 300 in English.
God's Word in print - a
powerful tool God uses to
reach people for Jesus
Christ.
