BLF Prayer & Praise - October 19^th, 2011

Dear Friends,

Thank you for joining BLF in our weekly Prayer & Praise. We appreciate your fellowship and partnership in this ministry.
Thank you for praying for these items of interest and concern to BLF. Your prayer is important. May God richly bless you!

Our purpose for BLF USA is to to glorify God through providing Christian materials to meet the needs of Evangelism and Discipleship in the French-speaking world. We urgently need your fervent prayer for God's hand on this ministry, now.
Next week, 10/27-29 (Thursday - Saturday) there will be board meetings for BLF International (BLF Europe, BLF Canada, and BLF US), as well as BLF USA.

We have some serious things we want you to pray about. Please - Pray...

- For God's fulfillment of the executive director's position of BLF USA.
- God's direction for BLF USA.
- The leadership with BLF USA.
- The growth of BLF Canada
- God's continued blessing for BLF Europe.

We need you to pray now. Please lift us up - that God would be glorified and He would lead us. Without His direction - we have no purpose. We praise Him for all He has done and all He is about to do.

Prayer requests for my coming trip to Congo.

I had planned to return to Congo early in September but I had to send funds for urgent needs at Matende Mission so my trip was delayed.

Since then, Pastor Milenge Mwenelwata, vice president of the E.C.C., federation of protestant churches, has asked me to come and help with communications for the second democratic elections in the country. The ECC is directing the activities of Christian observers from many countries. The presidential and parliament elections will take place November 28.

This is a very critical time for the fledgling democracy still overcoming many problems of the past. The Protestant Christians have been a strong force in encouraging and training citizens for their new responsibilities. I will pick up some of the same responsibilities I had in 2006.

I will take advantage of my time in Kinshasa the capital, to make contacts for the work of Congo Open Heart at Matende mission. Please pray that I will meet the right people that will be able to help.

Please pray for my safety in travel and in the overcrowded city of Kinshasa.

Pray that I will be able to get away soon after the elections to encourage the friends at Matende mission.

Pray that God will provide the funds to rebuild the roofs damaged by storms.

Pray for the medical help program for women in childbirth. In the Congo, one out of two women dies in childbirth. Women should not die to bring life into the world.

Pray that I will meet the right people who can help make an impact in the crucial needs.

BLF Europe new Bible Manga website is now officially open ! - www.LaBibleManga.com
Not everything is finalized yet on this new website yet : we are still working on it every day...

On this website, people from all over the world will be able to purchase the Manga Bible in 14 languages:

• French • English • Japanese • Spanish • Finnish • Italian • Dutch • Chinese • German
• Arabic • Korean • Danish • Norwegian • Portuguese • Swedish • Thai

(For the moment, only French can be purchased : we'll need another week to make other languages available)

The website operates for the moment in two languages : French and English

People will also be able to purchase Bibles and New Testaments in many different languages.

We have been advertising the Manga Bible in various Secular and Catholic magazines: we hope to see hundreds of young people come and check out this new Manga website in the weeks to come.

Manga in French school project:
The last Team that came through BLF Europe worked on a very special project related to the Manga Bible.

Because of their help and funds received from various donors, we were able to send a free copy of Manga Messiah to 2,600 French private school libraries...

With the free copy of Manga Messiah, the school received an offer to purchase at a very low price the other volumes of the Manga Bible.

We are looking forward to seeing how schools will respond...

We're back from our trip of 5 weeks representing BLF USA around the U.S.
(There is so much to be done right away (unpacking, laundry, mail, grocery shopping, writing reports, etc.)!)

Praise the Lord for taking us safely nearly 5000 miles without any problems.

Praise Him for the new contacts made for BLF and for those who are now praying for the ministries of BLF.

Pray that the Lord will enable enough people among those interested to fill out two teams for 2012.
