2011 Dear Friends,
Thank you for joining BLF in our
weekly Prayer & Praise. We appreciate your fellowship
and partnership in this ministry.

Canada!
- Praise God for the
Family Festival this past weekend!
- Praise God that
the event is financially taken care of (no
outstanding debts)
- Praise God for the
turnout (more people than last year-
averaging 75-100 people at each event) There
was even over a hundred people on Sunday,
despite the rain (we were on the fringes of
what was left of hurricane Irene)
- Praise God for 23
people who made a commitment to Jesus on
Sunday. Pray for the follow up which is
being handled by the local churches.
- Praise God that
the event, held indoors, was unaffected by
the remnants of hurricane Irene.

Pray for BLF Canada director
Toe-Blake Roy this weekend (Sep 3-4), as he
meets with our partners to work together with
Hope for Today (Aujourd’hui Espoir) to discuss
evangelistic strategy for the next five years.
(Hope for Today has partnered with BLF and uses
BLF materials published in French. |

Pray for BLF
Canada missionary candidates François and
Marie-Paul Bedard as they travel to Lac St
Jean. François will be installing a sound system
in a local gymnasium for evangelistic events.
This will also be a deputation trip for them, as
they have many contacts in the area. |

Other Prayer
Requests for BLF Canada ...

Pray for
Daniel Julien as he meets with a local
hospital this week to discuss the
possibility of doing Christmas presentations
for sick people this December.

Pray for
the upcoming BLF Canada board meeting on
September 24th.
-
Pray for
the Haiti project. Pray that the needed
funds will be raised.

Hurricane
Irene Issues ...
Praise God -
We have heard from BLF US board member Karl
Eisenmenger and family in Clifton, New Jersey
(almost across from New York City.
Apart from a very wet basement, they are doing
ok. Pray that their basement sump pump
continues to be faithful to keep up with the
influx of water. Pray that they might
minister to their neighbors during these
challenging days.
Praise God -
We have heard from former BLF US
boardmember Thom Shutt and
family in Hampton, Virginia. Although
they had about 2' of water all
around their house, their house
remained dry and had no other
damage issues. They are
also thankful to have
electricity throughout the
ordeal.
Pray for Canada -
Zachariah Kenney, Assistant to Director, BLF
Canada reported that while the BLF Canada
offices avoided damage, in the Quebec / Montreal
region (an hour away from the BLF Canada
offices), over 200,000 homes lost power
yesterday. Zak also has a cousin in New
Jersey who had to evacuate because a dam broke
and flooded the area - pray for him.
Please be in prayer this week
for all who are dealing with extensive
damage along the whole Eastern US seaboard.
Even though the storm has past, many, many are still
being affected by all the flooding at hand. |
